Mom, dad, and baby!

Parents Showered

Family and friends were in the gift giving mood, even this soon after the 1999 Holiday Season! On February 2nd, a couple dozen fans of diapers and baby bottles descended upon the home of Sue and Chris, who were indeed showered with gifts.

"I mean, who really needs two car seats??" said Skeeter, who was quite enthusiastic about the whole shin-dig. "We did get a nice thankyou note from the expectant parents - I don't think they quite knew what to think, what with balloons going up everywhere and REAL hot wings being served!"

For complete photo coverage of the event, click on Matt's Pictures From The Baby Shower page. Fair warning - put your shades on NOW before being attacked by 100 waving teddy bears!!!

BABY IS HERE!

What a kid! That's what we thought when we found out the stats on Sue and Chris's new baby girl, Jessica Lynn. Baby Jess weighed in at 8 pounds and 4.9 ounces. She measured 21 inches long, and had very good lungs on her world premire outing at 2:50AM on February 27th.

"I must admit, the kid looked great. No ballistic missile head , then again, Sue looked pretty toasted after that C-section," reported Skeeter, who was there to provide moral support. "Yup, toasted enough to whip out her brush and lipstick for the photo opps."

A Year of Spring Fever!

Skeeter and Matt have just celebrated their one-year aniversary on March 13th. "It's been a joyous and short year! Amazing how time flies when your having fun!" remarked Skeeter.

To celebrate, the couple attended an Irish Renaissance Banquet at Belcourt Castle in Rhode Island. A five course meal was served up with bottomless drink. Skeeter and Matt attended with a crew of renaissance clad friends. A grand time was had by one and all.

Festivities concluded a week later with a trip to the Oakdale to catch a performance of "Lord of the Dance". Matt was quite impressed with the showmanship and pyrotechnics. "But it wasn't RIVERDANCE" quipped someone in the same row. WHATEVER!!
