My first freelance assignment was done for the environmental department of a local natural gas utility. They were making a presentation before the National Bar Association about a recent cleanup project, where anything that could have gone wrong... did. They wanted a humorous approach to a sensitive subject matter and presented me with a (very rough) story board of the slides they wanted.... due in less than a week!

As it turned out, the client was very happy with the work done. They were thrilled with the amount of detail given the short notice. They liked the consistent "look" of the drawings, and found it funny that the original truck driver they dealt with looked just like the cartoon rendering, even though I had never met him!

Overall, this was a very fun project. The client was happy, and hey - I got paid to do this!
